Grateful is not just the name of the music, but the mood @wppievents this year.
I showed up to WPPI in 2012 alone. I was a mechanical engineer trying to find my place in photography. Sat at a bar, eating lunch, wondering why I was even there.
My wife reached out to a photographer she knew @erichchen and asked if he’d meet me. He said yes. We had dinner. He introduced me to his friends. That night changed everything.
Fast forward to now: 11 years full-time in this wild, beautiful career. I haven’t always been able to attend every year, but I’ve always made space for the things that matter: my family, this craft, and the community that keeps me inspired.
13 years in, I’ve seen it all. The kind-hearted givers, the takers, the lifters, the users. But what I’ve learned is this:
Trust your gut. Protect your energy. Show up for the people who show up for you.
Because sometimes… one dinner, one person, one moment can change your whole life.

What happens when you have 250+ guests on your wed

What happens when you have 250+ guests on your wedding day and they can only see your first kiss from far away? We do a 2nd and a 3rd kiss!
Typically, we would just do a 2nd kiss in the middle of the aisle to get the reactions of the guests in the photo, but since the aisle was so long, we divided into thirds.
Reese and Parker even switched it up, which made for even more unique photos!
