Hey, I'm Benny. The B and the C of BYC Photography.
I didn't start here. I spent 14 years as an engineer before I finally listened to my wife Yvonne. She is the Y in BYC and honestly this whole thing exists because of her. She saw something in me before I was ready to see it myself.
Photography has been part of my life longer than it has been my profession. It started with my dad. He brought a camera everywhere he went and the one he used was the same one my parents bought for their own wedding. That camera now sits with me. I think about that a lot.
I shoot weddings because I genuinely believe the moments that matter most happen when nobody is performing for the camera. The quiet ones. The real ones. The ones you didn't even know were happening until you see them in your gallery.
Over a decade in. International award-winning. Published. Still just as obsessed with getting it right as I was on day one.
Outside of weddings I lead SCPWP, a private community of nearly 200 professional wedding photographers and videographers across California that has been running for 13 years. The same community that helped shape me when I was starting out is now one I get to give back to. That part means everything.
