Betsy & Nelson are engaged! I flew up to photograph their engagement session in UC Berkeley because it is where Betsy graduated and till this day, still holds  a special place in her heart. So where do I even begin? I’ve know Betsy since we’re in high school and as life happens, we all had gotten busy with our career paths and have only kept in touch through Facebook. Well, one day, Betsy messages me and tells me she’s engaged and asked if I mind being their wedding photographer! I said of course I don’t mind and I would love to BUT who is this guy we’re talking about here!? The people that know Betsy the best knows that she’s incredibly independent, she had left her IBM job and serve the Lord full time as a Pastor in a local Oakland church. She was always a little tom-boyish and I know for myself, she always like a big sister to me. So when she told me more about Nelson, I just had to meet this guy! So we setup a Skype meeting and right when I started talking to Nelson, I knew right away that they were meant for each other. I can’t even describe how super excited I am for these two that God had placed them into each other’s lives and now they’re getting married soon!

So about this engagement session, rain was in the forecast but it had been cloudy all day up until the moment we were about to start their session. It just started raining harder and harder as we walked into the campus but they were total troopers and had complete trust in me. We started at the Hearst Memorial Mining Building, then the famous Campanile, the beautiful Library, Sather Gate and ended the session in front of the Wheeler Hall. Check it out and please show them some love!
